Camillus House Project Selects Wholesale Furniture Brokers as a Supplier

The new Camillus House center project will serve an estimated 4,000 people a year with programs such as on-site housing, counseling, and aftercare programs.

Wholesale Furniture Brokers’ Summer Market in Las Vegas Review

Wholesale Furniture Brokers attended the summer market in Las Vegas from August 1 – 2. Dave Zirnhelt, the CEO and President, Sergei Tashlikowich, the Vice President, Trent Hardaker, the Operations Manager, and Matt Holmes, the Marketing Manager attended scheduled meetings with existing and new suppliers to build stronger partnerships and evaluate new opportunities.

Wholesale Furniture Brokers’ team left the market on August 3. They felt the market was a success, but a majority of the success is based in the follow up after the show. During the following week, they all met and made a list of all the suppliers and what needed to be accomplished after the market. Each person was assigned a group of prioritized suppliers to follow up with.

Price updates, new content, and new product listings are among the list of accomplishments the Listing Department has made from the follow up. New suppliers met at the Las Vegas Market including Boyd Specialty Sleep and Alpine Furniture are currently being added to the sites. More are lined up to be added.

Wholesale Furniture Brokers is still prioritizing updates from their lists as they prepare for the fall holiday shopping season.

“The Las Vegas Market was a great opportunity for us to meet our suppliers in person. We received a lot of valuable information to help us update our product listings and evaluate the potential new suppliers,” says Matt Holmes, Wholesale Furniture Brokers’ Marketing Manager. “Now we need to improve our supplier evaluation and prioritization process to ensure we’re offering our customers the best prices, product information, and product selection for the upcoming fall season.”

Wholesale Furniture Brokers Warriors Make the Finish Line for Therapeutic Riding Association

On a hot summer evening (August 23, 2011), a team of five WFB Warirors set out for a scavenger hunt race to help raise money for the Kamloops Therapeutic Riding Association. The WFB team won against four other teams and ended up raising the most amount of money, thanks to all of the WFB staff who contributed.

“Doing this for the good cause mixed with having so much pleasure, feeling a part of the team that works together, being excited to have some exercise and experiencing the thrill of wanting to be #1 – what else can you possibly enjoy more out of fundraiser event?”

“What can I say, the Warriors rock!! It was a close finish, and we were almost overtaken by RBC team 2, but we came out on top. It was fun and for a good cause. Thanks to everyone for their contribution.”

“The challenge of solving their puzzles was the most exciting part of the race. Some were very sneaky but we worked as ‘Warrors’ together to solve the questions and using our fantastic athletic abilities to make it to the end as quickly as we could. Everyone was in great spirits and hopefully we will be able to participate again next year as well as to help to get the word out ahead of time for other teams in the community to take part next year. Great job WFB Warriors!”

Wholesale Furniture Brokers Grabs a Sponge for Big Brothers and Big Sisters Event

Wholesale Furniture Brokers takes pride in helping out in their community. This past weekend, three staff members spent their Saturday volunteering at a charity car wash for Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Kamloops. Blue skies, hot sun, a live band, and smiling faces made for a very positive experience for Ginni (merchandising manager), Maria (sales associate), and Justin (web developer).

“It set a great back drop for some fun loving water fights and there was some car washing too! At one point there were four cars in line and my team was working on a very large, very dirty truck. There was something about working hard for a good cause that really made me feel better about my contribution to the event.” – Ginni

Along with Wholesale Furniture Brokers, other members of the community were there including the Kamloops Fire Department and the Kamloops Blazer’s mascot Digger, who turned the hose on our staff, but we didn’t mind on such a hot summer day.

With food, fun, friends, and 15 freshly washed cars, our team had a great day knowing they helped out a great cause.
